IMPROVEMENTS TO PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY

DesignTek was hired to design the site improvements for the expansion of the Village of Orland Park public works facility. The expansion included an addition to the existing building, paving of several thousand square feet of storage yards, and the installation of storage bins on the property. DesignTek provided detailed grading plans, storm sewer design, sedimentation control for both the construction of the project as well as long term sedimentation control for the storage areas, and evaluated increased runoff rates due to additional impervious areas being constructed. The plan did not provide for storm water management, and therefore the design needed to evaluate the impacts of the increased runoff on the downstream receiving storm water conveyance systems.
