17th and Jefferson Street Reconstruction Project
DesignTek prepared the civil engineering plans for this roadway reconstruction project for the City of Lockport. It was an intersection located in the older part of the City with aging streets and infrastructure with many drainage issues as well. The total length of the roadway was 1,800 lineal feet. The design had to reconstruct the roadway and create positive drainage by replacing and installing new storm sewer, replace and add sidewalk, replace watermain and coordinate with the dry utility companies (gas, electric, telephone and cable) while limiting disruptions to adjacent residents, businesses, schools and churches. DesignTek was contracted to construction administrative services during the construction phase of the project.
