DesignTek was responsible for preparation of construction documents for the development of approximately 12,000 square foot funeral home on roughly 2 acres. This property required below ground storm water management design via a “Storm Trap” detention system. Additional design constraints include roughly 90 acres of offsite storm water flows through the property which required interim drainage and SWPPP plan preparation. The parcel was immediately adjacent to the Village Commons area and therefore sensitivity and special considerations needed to be implemented due to the proximity of the surrounding Village center. These considerations included traffic flow patterns for services, special event restrictions, signage for the above, and varying offsite easement agreements. These items were all coordinated by DesignTek and the client’s architect.
